Barbara Fisk

Barbara attended Vanderbilt University where she majored in Computer Science and Psychology, and received her undergraduate degree in Computer Science from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She was a software developer at Intergraph, Inc. located in Huntsville, Alabama. A devoted homemaker and avid equestrienne, she has held executive positions in numerous local community organizations as well as national equestrian clubs.

She is the daughter of Lonnie McMillian, Founder of ADTRAN and Co-Founder of the HudsonAlpha Institute of Biotechnology located in Huntsville, Alabama. She and her family, including two sisters, are actively involved in the success of associate companies at the Institute, where Barbara is a member of the Board of Directors of iExpressGenes. She is currently the President of the HudsonAlpha Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of the HudsonAlpha Institute.
